Unfortunately, the moment I got home, my dreams of playing it were crushed. It was glorious, unlike anything I’d ever played before. But, when I was thirteen(ish), every day after school I’d pop around my friend’s house to play TF2. Understandably, my unhealthy obsession with strategy games and Sims 3 comes as a result. It meant I could never play multiplayer games at home.

Unfortunately, our “gaming computer”, a ten-tonne white brick that sat in my bedroom on a little pink table, was too far from the ethernet cable.
